Evolution

You go through certain moments in your life and almost instantly know that something…somewhere inside of you is never going to be the same. The mind registers it…and so does your body…and it rattles your entire being…

It changes something so inherent in you that it defies your own definition of you…and you are not the same…

You feel your own absence…but somehow you also know that you are not incomplete…

You are furthest from who you were…but kind of exactly right where you need to be…

You don’t see all the things happening as instantly, but you can sense the disintegration…the discoloration…the diffusion of yourself…

You can see those newly built parts of you…while still sensing the parts that have been torn away…

You don’t understand it…but here you are…all pieced together…

That inexplicable feeling…that you feel…the same one that leaves you speechless but brings voice to the silent chaos in your mind…the same one that causes you to stumble but makes you step right in line…the same feeling that makes you question your existence but answers your questions about life…

It is perplexing…it creates a frenzy but also leaves you feeling calm…you want to control it and stop it...but you also want it to keep happening...a kind of internal tug-o-war...

I have been there. I know we all have.

I have realized the best way to deal with this mysterious state of being…is to open yourself to the possibilities...to let it happen…to let it run its course…

No use fighting battles with yourself…there are no winners…

Embrace the mystery…accept the enigma that you are because it is in that moment when you open yourself to receive...when you adapt…you transform and morph into your new self…and that moment...

That feeling…is what transpires when you EVOLVE...
That is the moment YOU…become more YOU

PS: Sis ~ Evolving everyday over here just as you are up there.

  1. Pooja, this touched every aspect of my being. The way through, is the Only Way. With Faith, we arrive. I loved how clearly you expressed 'That' which is quite difficult to express (at least, in our 'normal' human terminology ). I can sense Prachi smiling in agreement. Here's to Becoming More!

The Bouquet

They shivered a little more, As they saw her leaving. The subtle droop unnoticed, As the colors faded away. They waited for her, On that doorstep. Weary and drenched, Drowned in dismay. They were his words, She couldn't hear. They were her silence, He didn't understand. Language of withered flowers, A bouquet of lost dreams.

Unapologetic

She refused to carry the weight, Of their expectation. You could see it in her eyes, She thrived, Owed no one any explanation. Her smiles were fearless, Uncaged, Like the birds in the free sky. Rebellious wings, Her own rules, She was always flying high. Wildly outspoken, They loved her heart. That had nothing to hide. Untamed, Unfettered, Her life, She lived with a spirited pride. Her strength, Came from within, She left a mark on their mind. Unapologetic, fiercely real. She was, and still is, The one and only, of her kind. ~ Dedicated to my little sister. My one and only. My one of a kind ~
